Destination email address doesn't when using distr. list.

I need some help. We have unity 4.04, non unifies messaging and exchange is out of the box. We tried to use distribution list with mailbox who got all the permissions to use them. When we enter the extension of the distribution list, we hear the message "Destination email address doesn't exist".

We check in the AD and the groups is there. Could you help me.

Right-click on the distribution-group, and click on the "E-mail Addresses" tab. Do you have a smtp address on there?

Hi,

I have the same configuration - Unity 4.0.4 with VM only, Exchange on the same server.

I created a Public Distribution List called "LA Office (LA2)." I added a user to the list. I gave it extension 362 and recorded a name for it.

When I compose a message I address it to extension 362 and it gives me back the name of the list that I recorded. Then when I press # to accept it states "Recipient's email address does not exist."

When I look at AD I see the list. It has an email address of LAOfficeLA2@domain.com.

Any idea why this happens or why the system even cares whether it has an email address?

Thanks - Rob.
