Hi All,

I am installing 12.0 CUCM (Publisher) for my new setup, While installation, it is giving a error like "unable to reach Domain Name server" but from my EXSI, DNS server ip is pinging. Could anyone help me to sort out this issue?

Note: This is the first server in EXSI.

Is your VM in the same network as your ESXi? Would you be willing to post a screenshot of your networking section of ESXi showing that they are both in the same network? Can you also perform an nslookup on the FQDN of CUCM as well as its IP Address and post that, just to confirm DNS has both an A and PTR record for it?

Hi,

Make sure you have ESXi Port Group configured with correct VLAN and Uplinks and correct association of Port Group with Network Adapter of CUCM Virtual Machine.

Hi Anthony,

Thanks for your reply,

EXSI, CIMC and VM are in same network only. A and PTR records are looks good, DNS is resolving the IP and Host name from EXSI(Checked that by taking EXSI in putty). Will share you the screen shot once connected to customer site.

Hi All,

Thanks for your valuable time and effort to solve my query.

I found that i haven't given Vlan id for VM network. Post configuring the same i could install CUCM without any issue,
