Hi
Does someone knows if co-resident ELM also requires and static MAC address on the CUCM?
Thanks
Alex

Products that handle their licenses via ELM/PLM no longer have a License MAC, and the MAC from the vNIC has no relationship to licensing. The licenses are tied to the ELM/PLM server.

Hi Jaime
ELM uuid is calculated (partially) using the MAC address of the underneath server. In case of a co-resident server, ELM uses CUCM mac address (VMware assigned MAD address). VMware allocate a dynamic mac address (by default) to each VM. That MAC can change over time (when specific changes are made) and as a result an ELM uuid will change and will invalidate all licenses.
That's why I think MAC address on a co-resident CUCM (CUCM+ELM) should be static.
My logic is correct?
Alex.

Hi Alex,
what can be said is that UUID gets changed when you move ELM from one server to other server? . In that case, license needs to be re-hosted.
