Is is normal for the MWI's NOT to work when the Exchange Message Store is down/offline?? Our UMR is working and taking messages but the MWI's do not light therefore users do not know they have new voicemail.

Yes, this is expected operation.

Hi -
Also, you want want to resynchronize your MWI once Exchange is back online. You can do this from UTIM (for CallManager integrations) on the integration's Properties page, then click Resynchronize Now. Or it will happen at your next scheduled time (see the check box on the same page for scheduling a nightly resynch). Another way to do this is to restart the AvMsgStoreMonitorSvr service, which will also restart AvNotifier. MWIs will be resynched. After an Exchange outage, this is a good way to reduce help desk calls. One last thing, the timestamp of the message is generated when the voice message is delivered to the user's inbox, not when the user listened to it from UMR.
