Hello,
Is it possible to extract/export Phone Contacts from Personal Directory-Personal Address Book? Currently I have a user that has imported over 150+ contacts on his Cisco IP Phone in Personal Dircectory-Personal Address book. Just finished updating all the records with a 9 in front of them manually using Cisco Self Care Portal because Application Dial Rules are not working for CUCM 10.5 and 79XX series phones so had to manually change each phone contact to allow the user to use Personal Address Book in Personal Directory from his Cisco Phone.
I can't see the personal address book contacts in Call manager to copy or export incase the user phones breaks. Self Care Portal does not allow me to export the contacts or copy them.
Is there a tool that allows you export the phone contacts in case his phone breaks or even to make changes rather than updating each record manually?
Please help

Hi Janderso6,
You can export personal address book by opening CUCM CLI and type below this commands :
show tech table personaladdressbook csv
show tech table personalphonebook csv
and then "file get activelog FileName" to get the files.
Note: There is no way to add these entries via BAT.
HTH,

Hi Mohammed,
Those commands worked great and I have exported both directories. But, how do you import them again onto a new CUCM ? I have recently migrated users off a CUCM v9 onto a newly built CUCM v11.5 and am being asked to try and reinstate these directories.
Best wishes,
Matt

You can use AXL to retrieve and insert the records to the DB. I have previously written tools to do this..

Then you should ask the questions.

We are partnered with a customer that runs a separate TMS/Video implementation. Instead of adding almost 200 users to our CUCM so that the Video Endpoints are in our directory, we wanted to create something like a Personal Directory and allow users to use it since almost no one in our deployment uses their Personal Directories.
How would I go about adding these partnered users to a Personal Directory in bulk?
You'd stated you had tools that would do it, but required updating for CUCM 10.
Thank you,
Aaron

Hi Aaron
I have the same issue. I could export the calls but I'm not able to see the user ID.
It is like this and I have no idea to which end user I need to add those entries.
Table:personalphonebook | |||||

Maybe you can share your tool with me as well?
Thank you very much.
Best regards,
Pascal

Hi Experts,
Do you know how many contacts as a personal directory can be stored on the 8841-8851 phones?
The corporate directory part is created locally in the CUCM or synchronized with AD, but I would like to know how many contacts I can save or create as a personal directory
Regards.
Carlos P.
