Force DNS on Emergency Responder to Purge/Update

I have looked all over and nothing I've found has worked. I have upgraded my CER publisher from 11.5 to 14 (heading to 15). Rather than attempting to upgrade the subscriber, which is on an M4 host, I want to build a new subscriber on my M6 host and change the IP address to our new standards at the same time. I updated the DNS A record for the subscriber with an incorrect IP address, then added the new hostname to the publisher. Once I realized my mistake, I corrected the DNS A record but nothing I try will cause the CER publisher to update the DNS record it has for the subscriber. I have

  • Removed, re-added the subscriber on the publisher
  • Removed the subscriber, rebooted the publisher, re-added the subscriber
  • Run various cli commands that are supposed to flush the publisher DNS (utils network name-service hosts/services cache invalidate), to no avail
  • And more!

I should add that pinging the subscriber from any other source (command prompt, CUCM publisher, etc.) returns the correct IP address for the subscriber. It is only the CER publisher that is keeping the bad IP address.

I am out of ideas! I just need this publisher to forget the incorrect IP address and get the correct one from our DNS. Why is that so difficult? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
