Help Finding a Cisco Unity Account

Hello All,

CUCM System version: 9.1.2.14900-14

I have a Line Group in CUCM that was set up before I came in to my position.

I need to change the email address Unity sends the VM emails to, but I cannot find the account in Unity.  I know the VM box is there somewhere, I just can't find it.

In CUCM, there is a Line Group called "Executive Inquiry Team"and there are 10 extensions in it.  We are able to call the extension and it Broadcast rings all 10 extensions as expected.

When it goes unanswered, it goes to voicemail, the greeting tells me it is the Executive Inquiry Team box.  The voicemails used to be sent to oldemail@domain.com (not the real address, just using it for this example).  There has been a change in our environment and this email address will not work anymore, I will need to set up an SMTP relay for the new address, to be relayed to a more secure internal space. So, the users aren't receiving the voicemails at oldemail@domain.com anymore.

When I look at the Executive Inquiry Team Hunt List, the Executive Inquiry Team hunt group is listed as a member of the Hunt list.

Next, I look at the Hunt pilot.  The Hunt Pilot Pattern is listed as 3000, the Executive Inquiry Team is selected in the Hunt list drop down.  And this is where it gets weird to me.  The "Forward Hunt No Answer" and "Forward Hunt Busy" are both forwarded to extension 8783, which is an employee's extension. So, when I call the Hunt (7715) and it goes unanswered, it seems like it is forwarding to 8783 and I get the Executive Inquiry Team VM.  But If i call 8783 directly and get no answer, I get that employee's personal Voicemail.

So, now I go into Cisco Unity and I'd expect to be able to find the Executive Inquiry VM box  by extension, so I search by extension.  7715 isn't in Unity, it has a translation pattern in CUCM to translate to 1640.  If I call 1640, it acts the same as if I dialed 7715.  But there is no Unity VM account with 1640 on it.  Next in Unity I search for 3000, no Unity account with that on it, next I tried searching for 8783, but the only thing found is that employee's Unity account.

If there was a way to search for Unity accounts by email address, this probably wouldn't be so difficult.  But, I don't see any way to search for a Unity account by email address.

I'm not sure if this makes any sense to anyone out there, but if you need screenshots, I can put together a document with screenshots.

Thanks!

One other thought. In CUC admin you can go to Tools > SMTP Address Search. This will search the SMTP address associated with each account, but would not include unified messaging addresses that might be different from the SMTP address.

Download the User Data Dump tool here:

Dump all user data and search for the hunt pilot number. Likely an alternate extension.

This looks like this would be a great tool, I appreciate your input.  But unfortunately, our environment is super secure and I will not be able to download or install it.  We have specific software that is allowed in our environment, it will take me weeks to get this approved.  But I am going to try and get it approved for future use anyway.
