How to allow anonymous calls in CUCM 11.x

I have blocked a specific pattern in my cucm 11.x. But the anonymous calls are getting rejected. Created a NONE translation pattern but it doesnt work. I am having a MGCP gateway. Other options i have read to uncheck the (reject anonymous call in the DN option) box. But all the DN's are unchecked already. Any other solution to convert a anonymous call to a generic call so that cucm will accept the calls.

How is CUCM receiving Anonymous calls with MGCP ? Where do you see Anonymous ? On the IP Phone ? I would think there is a TDM or an analog end point. Your Telco does not send a CLID for inbound calls ?

Hi Dineshshoba,

Unfortunately, if the checkbox for "Reject Anonymous Calls" is checked on the DNs, you will need to uncheck that box in order to receive Anonymous Calls.

An easy way to accomplish this on all phones at once would be to use Bulk Administration in CUCM:

  1. CUCM > Bulk Administration > Phones > Add/Update Lines
  2. Filter the search for only Directory Numbers > Next
  3. There will be two checkboxes next to "Reject Anonymous Calls"
    1. Check the leftmost checkbox, but leave the checkbox on the right unchecked
  4. At the bottom of the page, check the Radio Button for "Run Immediately"
  5. Submit the job

Please note that you may also need to Apply Config to these phones, which can also be done through Bulk Administration.

Regards,
