How to resend VoiceMail messages that store in CommServer\UnityMTA\Failed?

Hi,

The Exchange servers are offline for few days, most of the voicemail are temporary stores in Unity MTA and some in the Failed folder. When the Exchange servers back to online, the voice messages are resend to the subcribers. However, all the voice messages located in the failed folder can't be release. Any way that i can resend the message manually?

On the other hand, Unity encounter this error " AvSCAV~1:Unable to add performance counters for AvDiagPerf (insufficient memory space) and AvDSGLOBALCatalog:Unable to add performance counters for AvDiagPerf (insufficient memory space)

Pls advise.

Thank you.

You should be able to just move them from the Failed folder to the UnityMTA folder, and they should resend automatically (I've done that in the past, works fine).

Thank you for the prompt reply. I've tested and it works. Thank you.

So does anyone know the problem when the messages dont get sent when you put them back in the UnityMTA folder? they are just getting put back to the failed directory. Not sure why they wont send. Can anyone provide some direction?

Move the files to the MTA folder then restart the AvUMRSyncSvr service, if the files are going back to the Failed folder then check what error was generated in the Application log. Also make sure that the services are running with the correct Unity account, use this document to see which account should be the login for each service:

Finally I recommend you to re-run Permissions Wizard and Message Store Configuration Wizard if you changed some service.

I reran the perm wizard already. The issue is that it is not all messages going to the failed folder. Is there a different tool now for the message store configuration wizard?

I tried what you said to do and it went back to the failed folder again. There may be a difference between internal callers leaving messages and external callers. thoughts?

Additionally, there have been a few recent Exchange Server patches that have been applied to our Ex2003 server. Does anyone know of any issues with those patches? New Bug in BugToolkit?
