Instant messaging in Presence

Hey to everybody!

I am here integrating Presence 7 with CUCM7. And I wanna know how to configure Instant Messaging with Unified Personal Communicator? is there any documentation? I did some search but didn't find any usefull info. so your help highly appreciated.

IM was enabled by default.  What exactly are you looking for?

heh.. actually to be able to chat with other contacts i have to add them from cuccx user page. why cisco made it this way? is there a way that i can add contacts from unified personal communicator and be able chat with this person?

Hi

There is a search field in the CUPC client that searches your LDAP directory for contacts; you then add them from the search results to your contacts list.

It's in the manuals.
