Hi all,
I installed IPCC 5.0(2) SR01ES03_Build031 and when I login to windows machine, get an error message
Time before shutdown 60 secs
Windows must now restart because the Cisco CRS Node Manager Service terminated unexpectedly.
The machine reboots after every 60 seconds no matter I try to even login to windows.
I'm trying to find out if any bug is hitting the system, can anyone please help me to resolve this issue.
Thanks,
Shahid

Hi
It's not a bug. Not usually anyway :-)
Your server is restarting, because the 'Cisco CRS Node Manager' service is crashing, and the settings on the service (accessed via the Windows control panel) are set to restart the server if it fails twice.
The most common reason for the service to fail, is that you have done something like this:
1) Built the server OS
2) Innstalled IPCC
3) Realised you have the wrong address set, and changed the IP.
Other scenarios with a new build involve some versions of the OS install binding the NICs in the wrong order, so again CRS fails to start.
If it is a new build, the easiest fix is to run the install again (from OS upwards), setting the correct IP info and hostname before installing IPCC.
If you have recently made any other changes to the system, tell us what they are.
If this has started to happen unprovoked, then post up the MIVR and MCVD log created when the service tries to start. You may want to turn off the 'restart on fail' setting from the service properties to allow you time to collect these.

Aaron
