Does anyone know if there is a way to log the Cisco Presence Instant Messaging conversations? I see there is a setting in the CUPS Admin on how many messages are saved and for how long, but were does the system put them?
I am running CUPS 7.0.1

Are you referring to the Max Instant Message History Size on the IP Phone Messenger configuration page? That only refers to how many messages are stored on the IP Phone within the IP Phone Messenger Application and has nothing to do with the CUPC client. As far as I know, there is no ability to log or archive Instant Messages from CUPC. It is a feature that they are aware of and I suspect something will be available soon, but nothing right now.

If you were looking at IM archiving in general and not just the IPPM aspect:
CUP 7.x can support IM Archiving with the Sipera solution certified through the Cisco Developer Network.

CUP 8.0 will also support archiving to an external database. The following link gives the
high level features that are part of the CUP 8.0 release.
