Hi,
We have two IP address got when we tried to trace it in our core switch using the MAC Address of the MCS Server. But when we run this command in UCCX CLI only 1 IP Address I got. kindly see below config.
admin:show network eth0
Ethernet 0
DHCP : disabled Status : up
IP Address : 156.5.231.254 IP Mask : 255.255.255.128
Link Detected: yes Mode : Auto enabled, Full, 1000 Mbits/s
Duplicate IP : no
DNS
Not configured.
Gateway : 156.5.231.129 on Ethernet 0
On the Core switch i noticed these, please see below:

156.5.231.161 is associated with the UCCX mac address.

My question is, why is it two IP Address assigned on that same MAC Address of MCS Server where UCCX Application installed ? though we only assigned only 1 IP address on that MCS Server.
Upon checking also physically on Ethernet port back of the MCS Server, I saw two RJ45 terminated and I dont know what is the use of the other connection. Can you help me regarding on this.
Kindly see attached config of our core switch. Is it possible to have two IP address on one port?
Thank you

Hi ,
the second ethernet port on MCS is normally used for ethernet failover when eth0 / LAN cable or switch port to which it is connnected has gone faulty.the same is done by "set network failover" from CLI and can be check in show netwrok eth0 details in last which shows "Bond"
also, there is not command to configure IP in second ethernet port of MCS.

Hi,
Can you tell why we found two IP Address with this the same Mac Address of MCS Server?
Or can we just erase this one IP?

can u share output of show network eth0 details and show network failover ?

Hi,
Kindly see below. there is no failover because it is only 1 UCCX App.

I was referring to Network Fault Tolerence while u are referring to UCCX application redundancy.
you can physically check for LAN cables connected to MCS and also look for port as suggested by Suresh.

Hi Aman,
Already checked the LAN cables connected on the MCS Server. And checked the port. As per checking, they have two LAN cables connected on the MCS server. One for the other core switch and the other one is for redundancy connected on the second core switch. Both LAN cables terminated on G1/10/15.

I did not understand why the second LAN cable is terminated when NFT[Network Fault Tolerance ] is not enabled.
You can try removing the LAN Cable from Second LAN Port of MCS and check.

Hi All,
Issue was already resolved. IP address was from BMC settings of MCS server.
Thank you all

thanks for update.
what exactly is BMC settings ? How do u access it?

2nd RJ45 might be connected on ILO port for server management/troubleshooting and it requires IP address as well.
