Message notification not working for particular user

Message notification will not work for a particular user. I have tried internal and external phone numbers as well as email notification. Notification works fine for my mailbox (Default Administrator COS) as well as another user (Default Subscriber COS). We are running Unity 4.0(4) with Exchange 2003.

presumably MWIs aren't working for this user either? Could be an issue with Exchange not sending us change notifications for that box for some reason - if you haven't already check out the tech tips here:

there's a section titled "Troubleshooting Message Waiting Issues (MWI)" that has several articles that are helpful for running down issues along these lines.

No, MWIs are working fine.

Users mail was forwarded to an external account, so Unity never knew that they had a voicemail and therefore did not send the notification.

Well, that would do it... their MWI wouldn't work either, but hey...
