We have 6 lines (seperate ext) on 7960G phones with roll over effect, but only one line, 1 have a voicemail box. We would like to foward noanswer on 2,3 4, 5, 6 to voice mail 1. Is this possible? We setup 2,3,4,5,6 noanswer to go to 1, but we could not get it working. Help

One thing you could try is setting forward no answer on all of the lines to voicemail. Then in Unity for the 1 voicemail box add alternate extensions on the Subscriber settings. Add all the other extensions for the other lines. This way the one voicemail box will be associated to all of the extensions.

Thanks,

Jason

Just set up a mail box for line one. Add lines 2-X as alternate extensions. Set Forwarding on No Answer to voicemail for all the lines.

If you have a dual integration with SMDI, then you'll need to add both a 4-digit extension and the 10-digit extension to the alternates. (Assuming you use 4-digit dial and you have a 10-digit SMDI interface) This will allow calls from either environment to reach the correct mailbox. I have some users with their home phones, nextel cellulars, regular cellulars, multiple office numbers set up this way so the user only ever has to check one mail box.
