CME(3.3) ephones able to access CUE(2.1.2) voice mail to leave/retrieve but doesn't work the MWI even the ephone light changes when I dial "80004001" or "80004002".

-CME

ephone-dn 8

number 8000....

mwi on

!

ephone-dn 9

number 8001....

mwi off

!

-CUE

se-10-253-66-2# sh voicemail mailboxes

OWNER MSGS NEW SAVE DEL BCST MSGTIME MBXSIZE USED

"Test2" 0 0 0 0 0 0 21120 0 %

"Test1" 1 1 0 0 0 4 21120 1 %

Issue the command "mwi refresh all" on CUE but no luck. looks the CUE cannot send out the MWI number to CME since I cannot see anything in debug when MWI refresh.

Any possible cause or troubleshooting guide please.

Take a look at:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps5520/products_tech_note09186a008027fa9f.shtml

most common issues are that the SIP gateway is configured incorrectly in CUE (i.e. it doesn't point to the CME). Or, it could be the codec it's trying to use when calling those MWI extensions.

you're the man. the mwi failed since configure transcode and works now by adding the inbound dial-peer w/g711

dial-peer voice 199 voip

incoming called-number 800.

codec g711ulaw
