Hi,
We have the below mentioned applications installed on Cisco MCS and HP servers at one of our client site. Would like to do a teaming of the 2 NIC interfaces on each of the servers.
Please confirm, if we can do it.
Application Version Model
CUPS 6.0.3 MCS-7845H2-K9-CMB1
IP IVR 5.0 MCS-7835H
CUOM 2.1 HP ProLiant DL360 G5
CUSM 2.1 HP ProLiant DL360 G5
CUSSM 1.1 HP ProLiant DL360 G5
CUPM 1.2 HP ProLiant DL360 G5
Regards,
Ramesh

For the linux platform, it's teaming, but not load balancing. It turns the NIC into Active/Standby or Fault Tolerant. The command is in the CLI
set network failover enable. You will lose connectivity for a couple seconds, then it connects back. no reboot necessary.

Typically adding any hardware to your MCS servers is not recommended. If it's Windows based, you can probably add the NIC card fine. But if you run into issues, I highly doubt the third NIC card is supported by TAC.

Does this setting survive across server restarts?
Because of the short outage involved, I'd hate to have to perform it every time it is restarted (not often, but still unnecessary IMHO).

in the Linux platform, once it is set, its done.
