Non-root user with Host and Virtual Machine privileges

For PCD I'm having issues with our VM Server team wanting to grant Host and Virtual Machine privileges.  Our VM team is uncomfortable granting these permissions, as the ESX host is a shared environment.  Has anyone been able to work around these permissions, to get PCD off the ground?   No way I can be the only customer who has dealt with this issue.

Typically I'll set up a Webex with the team and have them put in the password themselves.

I confirm that PCD is hooked in and I'm on my way.

For some customers it is as simple as that....for others it takes a little more explaining of what PCD is and is not doing and they usually come around....even if the most strict will grant access temporarily
