Partition,CSS Error

Greetings,

I am facing an issue with CSSs and Partitions, when I try to add any new partition into my existing CSS I get one error:

Update failed. The list of Partition names (Clause) in a Calling Search Space is too long as a result of this operation (more than 1024 characters). Shorten the Partition names or use fewer Partitions in the Calling Search Space.

And when I try to do as that error instructs me to I get this error on the partition:

So it's the same error on both sides and I can't find a workaround for this.

If anybody faced this issue and is willing to share a way out, I would greatly appreciate your help and advices.

If you are using lengthy names for your partition, remember one thing there is limitation of 1024 character when adding these partition to a CSS.

you need to reduce the number of characters used for your partitions names.

Yes I read that, that's why I showed the second log aswell, because the CUCM doesn't allow me to edit that partition, showing me the error as can be seen on my initial post.

Go to call routing>>class of control>>partition>>find the partitions. Edit the names.

Can you share the screenshot of your CSS's  and partitions .

Based on the error message, i assume that  this partition  is a member of a CSS and this CSS contains partitions with either  character more than 1024 or when you update partition name it exceed the total 1024 limit of the CSS.

from all  CSS, remove the partition which you are trying to update. Then edit the name. hopefully you can update the name.

I tried that but it doesn't let me edit the name of any of the partitions that are a part of that CSS, neither does it let me delete or add any partition to that CSS.

Delete the CSS, modify partition names. Recreate the CSS, add required partitions.  Make sure you modify/delete the right CSS.

In which CSS you are trying to add partition AL_INTERNAL_PT ? Share the snapshot.

that CSS contain how many partitions  ? If list of partition contain and that partition have more than 1024 characters including _ then you can’t add new partition, for this you have to save partition with short name and all list of partitions characters should not be more than 1024 characters.
