Hi,
I have a CUCM 7.1.5 and I want to implement a call authorization code for the internationnal calls.
I have seen the Matter code and the Force Authorization Code, but this apply to all the phones and users on the CUCM and this is the same code for all
Can I implement per phone or per line code for this authorization, in fact, I want differents codes for all the users...
Thanks in advance,
John

Hi John,
FAC Codes are "unique" and will not be common for all users So, lets say John
has code 10112 and Rob has code 10525. The whole goal is that a Long Distance
call placed by John (from any phone) will use code 10112 so the "charge-back"
can be billed accordingly. When Rob goes to place a Long Distance call, he will
use his own personal code 10525 and again the charges will be billed against his code.
We used to use Station Specific Auth Codes on our Nortel Meridian TDM
system. When we moved to CUCM we realised that this feature was not available.
We have not found this to be a big issue, as Auth Codes are generally used for
Billing restriction purposes. Because Toll calls are billed against the FAC code
when used, the overall functionality has basically remained the same.
Cheers!

Hi Rob,
Thanks for your answer !
In fact, I will implement the FAC for phones where are many users and only authorized users will have a code...
Thanks,
John.
