I need a little help here. I recently purchased some Cisco 7961 phones for my lab. They all came with a rather late version of SIP software installed (version 9.X). I need to make the SCCP phones again. Simple right? Load the firmare, change the TFTP option 150, point them to my CCM pub server, and I should be off to races.
No so luck! I actually acidently "bricked" of them and now the phone comes up, flashes, and no love. It sits there with a blank screen looking sort of dumb. Great. An expensive brick!
Is there a recovery procedure for this?

There are some many threads on the matter, if you take the time to search in "IP telephony".

I fixed the issue. My TFTP server was not working like I thought. Once I fixed that, and I defaulted the phone, using the 351 code, I was able to restore the device to a working state.
