Hi,
we did migrate our Unity servers to the new Exchange 2010 Server SP1, like in the link described:
Unfortunately the migration doesn`t work. In the log file I can see the following error:
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: CiscoUnity_ExchangeMonitor
Event Category: Warning
Event ID: 1017
Date: 11.01.2011
Time: 03:39:25
User: N/A
Computer: TRZ1GSMCSY011
Description:
The Information Store for the Unity System Mailbox on the Partner Exchange Server is offline during ExchangeMonitor Startup. All message notification processing is disabled until this has been resolved. When the Exchange Monitor detects that this server is back online, registration for notifications will proceed.
Server:TVVVGSMEXC100
Information Store:
2 CN=DB-001A-01,CN=SG-001A-01,CN=InformationStore,CN=TVVVGXMEXC001A,CN=Server...
As you can see, the "Server" is not equal like the servername in the Information Store. The Server "TVVVGSMEXC100" ist the current Exchange 2010 server, but the information store servername "TVVVGXMEX001A" is linked to the old and powered off Exchange 2003 server.
Does anyone know where the path of the information store is stored??
Thanks and best regards
Frank

Hi,
Probably you need to delete Unity's MAPI Profile and then reboot the server
in order to recreate such profile. Go to the Registry Editor (Start--> Run --> Regedit)
on the server and look for:
HKEY_Current-User --> Software --> Microsoft --> Windows NT --> Current
version --> Win Subsystems --> profiles --> UnitySystemProfile and delete it then you need
to reboot the server to recreate it.

Tere.

Hi,
Please run the Message Store Configuration Wizard to point Unity to the correct Exchange server and run Permissions wizard too to grant permissions to the mailstore.

Hallo Tere,
thank you for your answer. I already did these steps:
- Install ES for Unity 5.01 (newest version)
- Uninstall Server Manager
- Uninstall Exchange Software
- Install ExchangeMapiCdo.exe
- Run Permission Wizard
- Run Message Store Configuration Wizard
- Run Derver Update Wizard
Unfortunately the Unity server still wants to connect to the "old" and powered off Exchange Server.
Thanks and best regards
Frank
