Questions about PCD Migration to CUCM 15

It's been a little while since I used PCD and wanted to double check a couple of questions (this is a 10.5 to 15 migration):

1.) If I'm reusing the same hostname and ip addresses (or different hostname but same ip) from the existing CUCM cluster, can I start the migration task and have the servers built and the OS installed during business hours, then let it do the forced pause and resume it later to shutdown the original servers and bring up the new servers?  Will there be any expected issues to production prior to the maintenance window when I resume the task?

2.) The certificates from the old cluster will be migrated to the new cluster so I don't have to worry about them correct?  I recall doing migrations to new clusters where you had to import the new cluster certificates into the old cluster so that the phones would re-register successfully to the new cluster.

I haven't had to use PCD in a few years so wanted to make sure before I started.

  1. You can start the migration task using the same hostname and/or ip addresses and allow the server to be built and OS installed and then, PCD allows you to force pause enabling you to resume later during a maintenance window to shut down the original servers and bring up the new servers.
There should be no impact if this is done correctly.
