Hi All;
Thanks for the assistance!
I don't know what was blocking the register but I used another interface to direct connect the sip trunk and it worked.

Good afternoon, I know this is an old post but do you by chance have a sample config of your Cisco 2821 bound to an external SIP trunk provided by an ISP. I am currently setting up a Cisco 2821 that I have for testing in a lab environment and am having an issue connecting back to the SIP IP provided by my ISP. Thank you.

I would advise you to create your own post instead of posting your question on an old post that is marked as answered.
You do the bind of interface on the dial peer(s) for it to know what interface to use for the communication with your SP. The rest is managed by the routing table on the router. There is no thing as such as binding to a SIP trunk.

Look at this document for how to bind media and control traffic to a specific interface. https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/voice/ip-telephony-voice-over-ip-voip/211306-In-Depth-Explanation-of-Cisco-IOS-and-IO.html
