I am having this same issue with CUC 9.1.2.  Did you ever find a fix?

It was a number of items, all on the E-mail side.

  • Make sure their is no email disclaimer message applied.
  • Make sure no email spam/filtering app is modifying or removing the message headers at all.

The speechview registration name can be set to anything it appears, I haven't found anything mentioned in any docs or TAC engineers have said it needs to match something (like Nuance's side).

I've seen the MS virtual IIS SMTP gateway not handle S/MIME attachments right so if you're using that as a SMTP gateway it may be interfering. This was on a past SpeechView setup, where they had CUC and Office 365 implementation but O365 doesn't allow basic SMTP so they used the IIS Virtual SMTP gateway and the outbound messages were getting there but the inbound email back to Unity, the S/MIME attachment was getting mangled by the virtual IIS SMTP gateway. We set up a MX record for Unity and in O365 had the return message go straight to the unity server and it worked (locked down with several ACLs, etc so only the O365 mail server IP block could send mail to unity).

I'm having the exact same problem with the O365 and speechview registration.  Will you give more detail on what settings you changed in office 365 to route the emails straight from O365 to Unity instead of going through the incoming SMTP server?

Thanks,
