Dear Friends
we are upgrading our CUCM 11.5 to 12.5 in which as we know the Smart Licence is must for 12.5, is the SWSS contract support must to upgrade Traditional licence to Smart Licence, if we dont have an active SWSS Contract what are all the Consequences and how to fix It. PLEASE GIVE SUGGESTIONS . . . .

Yes, you need active/valid Smartnet contract to upgrade from CUCM 11.5 to 12.5 and from Traditional licenses to Smart Account licenses. If you do not have active Smartnet contract, then you need to order/purchase major version upgrade along with SWSS.
If you upgrade to CUCM 12.5 without purchasing SWSS, then you will have 90 days grace period to purchase new licenses. The system will work normal during this period. After 90 days also, the system will function normal but you will not be able to Move, Add or Delete any configuration until to install valid licenses.
Please work with your Cisco Partner or Cisco Account Manager to discuss your options.

Hi,
For customers with no active SWSS contracts, major version upgrades or feature upgrades must be ordered using UCL-UCM-UPG-K9 along with SWSS. This part number is for User Connect Licenses.
If you have CUWL licenses, then work with you Cisco Account Manager or Partner as Cisco is recommending Cisco Flex licensing for newer versions.

Do you have a current SWSS contract? If so then you can order the upgrade from PUT (Product Upgrade Tool). Go to Cisco's home page, login, the search for "Product Upgrade Tool". Once in the tool, pop in your SWSS contract number and take it from there. Using the tool you will generate an upgrade sales order, which is one of the things Cisco Licensing will want to see to confirm your entitlement.
Let us know if you need more help getting through this stage.
If you don't have current SWSS then you need to get in contact with a Cisco partner in your territory.

Hi,
The ordering guides are not publicly available. From this stage onward, you need to work with Cisco Partner or Cisco Account Manager to get the quote for migration/upgrade licenses.
