UC 8.5 Notification Devices not continuing if VM messages still exist

I have chained "Device Notifications" for a VM box and I have "Repeat Notifications if there are still new messages" box checked. However, if UC calls someone and they answer (let's say it goes to a cell phone VM message), but the user never retrieves the messages or even enters the PIN for the VM box message, "Device Notifications" process stops. This happenes whether it is the first or middle device in the chain, so it seems as though "Rpeat Notifications if there are still new messages" isn't working......Any ideas?

It looks like this bug;

CSCtk99553 - UC notification cascading fails if first device has Repeat Notification

Description

Symptom:

If a user has multiple phone notification devices set in a cascading fashion and the first notification is set to "Repeat Notification If There Are Still New Messages" the second and third notification events never fire.

Notify 1: set to call at 1 minute, and check box set for "Repeat Notification If There Are Still New Messages"

Notify 2: set to call at 2 minutes

Notify 3: set to call at 5 minutes

At 1 minute, notify 1 works.

At minute 2, only notify 1 fires when notify 2 should have also fired.

At minute 3, only notify 1 fires when notify 2 should have also fired.

At minute 4, only notify 1 fires when notify 2 should have also fired.

At minute 5, only notify 1 fires when notify 2 & 3 should have also fired.

Conditions:

Cascading phone setup with "Repeat Notification If There Are Still New Messages" checked.

Workaround:

Turn off "Repeat Notification If There Are Still New Messages" and the calls cascade as expected.
