Hello everybody!
Have a CUCM cluster with distributed call processing at multiple locations and UCCX HAoLAN cluster.
Network diagram attached.
Current software versions:
CUCM – 8.5.1 SU1
UCCX – 8.5.1 SU2
Challenge:
Migrate UCCX HAoLAN cluster from single site to different sites with
-upgrading to 8.5.1 SU4 version
-changing hardware (1st CCX will run on UCS platform, 2nd on 7845 hardware)
-changing ip addresses
-changing HA deployment type to WAN
-changing rmcm, jtapi, axl providers ip addresses to point another CUCM servers on those local sites
Preliminary plan:
1. Make UCCX DRS backup.
2. Delete CCX2 server from system servers list on UCCX web interface.
3. Do upgrade of CCX1 server to 8.5.1 SU4 version. (or 9.0.2 ?)
4. Make UCCX DRS backup (now of su4 ver).
5. Shutdown old CCX1 and CCX2 servers.
6. Deploy new VM machine for CCX1 server (at site N). Install UCCX 8.5.1 SU4 version on VM CCX1 with settings from old server (ip addr, hostname, etc).
7. Restore CCX1 server data from backup.
8. Change ip address on CCX1 server consider to new subnet. Upload new license, because ip address change.
9. Change rmcm, jtapi, axl provider ip address according to local CUCM server.
10. Add CCX2 server in system servers list on UCCX web interface.
11. Start an installation UCCX on CCX2 hardware server located at Site K. When installing choose HAoWAN type of deployment.
12. Add CTI ports on second CCX server form call control group.
13. Check services, db sync and other stuff.
14. Run Client Configuration tool. Update CAD/CSD/HRC software on operator PCs.
15. Check incoming calls to CCX.
So, any evaluation, comments or suggestions for this plan are highly appreciated.

Hi Valery,
Regarding your third point where you need to know if you should upgrade to 8.5.1SU4 or 9.0.2, if you decide to upgrade to 9.0.2 then this has licensing implications as this is a major upgrade. Additionally, the compatibility with CUCM needs to be verified using the software compatibility matrix.
