I have a quick question any help would be appreciated im new to ucs i have s new chasis and im being asked by our data centre which storage i would like them to give me san or iscusi, which is the preferred method of storage to boot from i have the option of both....
We are only using the blades for UC applications cucm cer uccx etc.

Your question is a personal preference. I would use which ever technology is more proficient in your network. Personally I would use local storage being that Cisco doesn't allow DRS or HA which doesn't make a SAN solution a better choice since the cost savings and benifits are not applicable here.

So if we local boot 2 different ucs`s at two differnt locations is ha not supported because we were going to move Unity connection which now is ha active/active 1 server at each location connected via a 1 gig link is this not supportrd in ucs as it works fine with mcs servers

VMWare HA is not supported Cisco Unity HA is supported.
