I activated a trial IVR licence that I now wish to deactivate but cannot:
cue861# show license
Index 0 Feature: VMIVR-VM-MBX
Period left: Life time
License Type: Permanent
License State: Active, In Use
License Count: 20 /20
License Priority: Medium
Index 1 Feature: VMIVR-PORT
Period left: Life time
License Type: Permanent
License State: Active, Not in Use
License Count: 2 / 0
License Priority: Medium
Index 2 Feature: VMIVR-IVR-SESS
Period left: 8 weeks 3 days
License Type: Evaluation
License State: Active, In Use
License Count: 60 /2
License Priority: Low
cue861# license clear VMIVR-IVR-SESS
% Error: No license entries with the feature name: VMIVR-IVR-SESS
cue861#
To me the feature name is VM-IVR-SESS but as show the licence clear <feature> command says that it is not a valid name.
Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks

Hi there,
Can you please try;
no license activate ivr sessions numeric string
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity_exp/rel3_2/Command/l_cmds.html#wp1025703
Cheers!

Hello,
Thanks but I already tried that and get this:
cue861# no license activate ivr sessions 2
Invalid command.

I suspect the no license activate command only applies to cue 7 and earlier versions pre the licence model change.
I am using 8.6.1
Thanks

license modify priority "FEATURE" low will deactivate a license in CUE 8.6
Example:
license modify priority VMIVR-VM-MBX low would deactivage the voicemail mailbox eval license.

Hi Sean,
Should have been introduced in CUE 7.1, so I'm at a complete loss here (nothing new )
To activate the license for IVR sessions, use the license activate ivr sessions command in Cisco Unity Express EXEC mode. Using the no form of this command sets the usage to zero and disables the feature.
license activate ivr sessions numeric string
no license activate ivr sessions numeric string
None.
Cisco Unity Express EXEC
This command enables you to activate the license for IVR sessions.
The following example shows how to activate the license for IVR sessions:
se-10-0-0-0# license activate ivr sessions 4
Have you thought about firing off an email to;
to see what advice they can give you on this topic?
Cheers!

OK, well the activiation part worked for sure...that's how I got here :-)
I'm going to open a TAC case just as soon as my Smartnet vendor sorts out my contract mess up. The system is covered but TAC thinks not.
In the mean time an email to the above may help me.
Thanks

@rob.huffman just so you know:
You have reached the Cisco Global Licensing Operations Team. The Cisco Global Licensing Operations Team only provides and/or issues license keys. For technical assistance, such as removing your temporary license, your request will need to be redirected to our Technical Assistance Center (TAC) where an engineer may better assist your request.
To open a TAC Service Request visit: http://tools.cisco.com/ServiceRequestTool/create/launch.do
To email TAC, forward your request to tac@cisco.com. Cisco Worldwide Contacts are found at:
Thank you for contacting Cisco.

Hey Sean,
How is this NOT a licensing issue??? These guys continue to baffle me @ every step
Well at least can show them you tried if the license issue ever comes up through an audit.
If you're not using IVR it shouldn't be an issue in any case
Cheers!

"It's a licensing issue Jim, but not as we know it" :-)
It's fair enough, they just hand out the keys and it's down to TAC when the engine breaks.
Any way, seems my support contract issue is resolved so hopefully TAC will help me deactivate the license soon.
Thanks
Sean

Just to add to the confusion, priority modification works fine and this references the 2feature name":
cue861# license modify priority VMIVR-IVR-SESS low
Feature: VMIVR-IVR-SESS
Index: 1 License type : Evaluation
Lock type : Not Locked
License Count : 60
License Priority: High
After the license priority is adjusted,
the license usage count may decrease.
Do you want to proceed? (yes/[no]): yes
Are you sure you want to modify priority? (yes/[no]): yes
License Note:
Application will evaluate this change upon next reload

According to TAC:
license activate ivr sessions 0
Will turn the licence off.

Hi Sean,
Thanks for posting back with your results here +5. This kind gesture will likely help
someone else down the road
Cheers!
