Hello, I am configuring CUCM using SIP for a brand new install. I have tried to generate a call using the Cisco 7945G. First I enabled auto-registration and enabled dhcp but no luck. Then I disabled auto-registration and configured the phone with an IP as well as the IP for the gateway (Cisco 3945) subnet mask and tftp server, which is also the publisher. Can anyone advise me on how I can get this to work? Any assistance would be much appreciated.

So where are you standing right now??
Is the phone registered?
Are the services running on the server??
Is connectivity OK from the phone to the server?
Nothing blocking the signaling?

Right now, the phone is registered, all the services are running. I think connectivity is OK from the phone to the server but I'm not sure. Right now the phone is connected directly on the catalyst switch. From the switch I can ping the server. What else can I do to check that the signal isn't blocked?
Thanks for your jelp.I will rate.

OK, have you configured the GW as MGCP/H323/SIP and configured the GW itself as such??
Do you have all the dial plan elements in place to reach the GW??

No, I don't. I have SIP Proxy configured on the GW but I'm not sure what else. I don't think I have a dial plan in place as this is my first install.
