Hey buddy, maybe I can help?
My team has this problem constantly, you can't be connected to a different Default Gateway (like the internet) when installing unity as your actually installing (typically anway's) to a differnet subnet, i.e. Routing...
For Example.
Let's pretend this is your ISR, and your laptops has an address on the Data VLAN.
Eth0/0.1 192.168.10.1 255.255.255.0 (Data VLan)
Eth0/0.100 10.1.1.1 255.255.255.0 (Voice Vlan)
(Unity Network which is, in this example 10.1.100.X)
ISM Interface 10.1.100.1 255.255.255.252
Module IP 10.1.100.2 255.255.255.252
Module DG 10.1.100.1
So connected to the router with a Static IP and Subnet will have you connected to the Data Vlan, but to see the Voice or Untiy Networks, your router needs to be your DG, until you get it all installed.
* As my team say's it sucks not being able to browse the internet while building enterprise networks
