Unity 4.0.3 subscriber greeting

Hey folks,

A subscriber has an alternative greeting recorder, and uploaded into unity. When callers get forwarded to his VM, they hear the custom greeting followed by the generic unity "you may record your message after the tone..." etc.

Is there any way for callers to hear ONLY the recorded greeting, followed only by a beep (and for recording to start afterwards) ?

Thanks a bunch,

ML

You can't turn that system prompt off on a per user/handler basis, but you can turn it off system wide. It's not supported by TAC and the prompt will come back after you do any kind of Unity upgrade - you can check out details for how to do this here:

Many thanks, that was just what I needed.

The only drawback of doing this was that subscribers who are using the system greeting get the beep right after the announcement that the line is busy or does not answer. I decided to modify AvPhGreet019.WAV and add the "You can leave your message after the tone" bit.

This way the system greeting sounds the same as before, while alternate (recording) greetings are followed by a beep only.

Thx again for such a quick and helpful response.
