The upgrade for Unity Connection 2.0 to 7.0 does the existing hardware get reformated from Windows to Linux? How does that happen is on the installation CD? Please notify.

Hi Edil,
The nice thing for this upgrade is that UC 2.x is already Linux based, so no Widows/Linux conversion is required :)
Release Notes for Cisco Unity Connection Release 2.0(1)
Note With this release, Cisco Unity Connection has moved from a Microsoft Windows-based solution to a Linux-based solution

Hope this helps!

My mistake we are on Connection 1.2 and moving to 7.0 does this still apply?

No. Then you do change from Windows to Linux
Migrating from Cisco Unity Connection 1.x to Version 7.x
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/7x/upgrade/guide/7xcucrug020.html
Because Cisco Unity Connection 7.x is installed on a server running Linux instead of Windows, you cannot simply upgrade to version 7.x from version 1.x.
