Unity Connection 7.1 - CUadmin "log on failed"

Hi everyone,

We're currently using the following version of Cisco Unity Connection:

Active Master Version: 7.1.2.20000-2

Active Version Installed Software Options:
uc-locale-fr_FR-7.1.2.0-139.cop

We have this error trying to connect to the CUAdmin web page:

"Log on failed" after about 15s of timeout.

Is that a bug? What service I should check? This kind of problem can be traced in which log files?

Thank you very much ,

Have a nice weekend, everyone.

Hi Nguyen,

It may be this bug;

CSCtd79132 Bug Details Bug #3 of 30 | < Previous | Next >

UC 7.x - UC Administrator "Login Failed" or "Pool Exhausted".
Symptom:
When logging into UC administration, intermittently one may see "Cannot get a connection, pool exhausted". Or if all connections are completely leaked, you will get "Login Failed".

Conditions:
This problem occurs when Unity Connection is configured in an Active/Active (A/A) pair, and It is seen in various versions of UC 7.x and 8.x. If a customer is encountering a similar symptom but is not running an A/A pair, then this is not the same issue described in this defect.

CSCtd45086 is an issue with similar symptoms, however that issue can occur in any Unity Connection configuration configuration (not just A/A), and it occurs when reports are run.

Workaround:
Restart Cisco Tomcat from SSH CLI using: utils service restart Cisco Tomcat

Further Problem Description:
The situation arises when database connections are leaked, which over time slows web response down and eventually does not allow administrators to login to any of the Administration pages pertaining to UC, nor will RTMT work

Thank you very much Rob.

In what trace I can verify if we're talking about the right bug?

Anyway, I will give the workaround a shot next time we have the same problem.

Best regards,
