Hi,
I''ve a customer using dial by name. When PSTN caller presses the phone keypads, system comes up with user names pronouncing them in system's voice and not in user recorded voice.
Customer wants the usere names to be voiced out in user recorded voice. Is there any option to acheive it or its the default behavior which can't be overwridden? Callers recorded names are pronounced when voice-mails are left/retrieved though.
Cisco Unity Connection Administration
Version 7.1.2.20000-140
thanks in advance,

Is there anyone aware of how to change this behavior?
To better explain the problem, see below description from Untiy Connection help. The user name "Pat Amos" or "Gerry Anderson" are pronounced in pre-recorded system voice, instead of user recorded voice. Can this behavior be changed so that caller hears User's recorded name. All the user's have their recorded names already.
Announce Extension with Each Name
Check this check box to indicate that Cisco Unity Connection provides a menu of users that includes user extensions. Callers enter the menu number to select a user. For example, "For Pat Amos at extension 123, press 1. For Gerry Anderson at extension 104, press 2." Callers might take note of user extensions to skip directory assistance the next time they call.
For directory handlers that are not voice enabled, this functionality is supported only when Announce Matched Names Using Menu Format is also selected.
Default setting: Check box checked.

Hi inner_silence,
You're running into a known defect http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCta86538&from=summary You'll want to upgrade your system with the latest ES for 7.1(2).
Hope that helps,
Brad
