Unity connection pilot not work after publisher down

Dear everybody,

I have a problem on unity connection.

Here is the environment

- CUCM 8.6 publisher

- CUCM 8.6 subscriber (primary TFTP)

- CUC 8.6 (Telephony integration > port groups > edit > server > IPv4 is pointing to publisher)

everything works fine when all servers are UP

However, if I unplug the cable for the publisher,

- all IP Phones work fine

- MWI on/off still working after dial the MWI on/off number on IP phone

- BUT if I dial the voicemail pilot number or press the message button on IP Phone, there is no response on the phone and disconnect itself finally.

Anybody knows what is the problem? and what should I need to do to ensure the CUC available even the publisher connectivity is lost?

Thanks in advance

Sam

Hi Sam,

Can you check these settings in CUC for the "Secondary" CUCM server config;

Step 32 On the Edit Servers page, do the following substeps if the Cisco Unified CM cluster has secondary servers. Otherwise, skip to Step 33.

##

a. Under Cisco Unified Communications Manager Servers, click Add.

##

b. Enter the following settings for the secondary Cisco Unified CM server and click Save.
