My client is asking for ways to avoid confusion as many employees don't get that their ID is their Extension number, has this been addressed by the product team, does anyone know if it is on the roadmap to change or allow this to be changed? Is it the same in v9?
Thanks,
Mark Knepper

This is not changeable right now and is not changeable in 9.0 either.
We have an item on our long term roadmap to allow customer to change system prompts, but this is not on any commited roadmap for the next 18 months.

Same problem here. Unnecessarily confusing for new employees and for my migration of 16,000 users from Unity to CUC. Tim

Hi,
There is a way to do this but, it is not supported, and you will require access to the root OS, so even if you call TAC that is not going to happen, I remember you used to be able to get cisco record your custom prompt with the 'Unity Lady' voice, (of course there was some money involved), but not sure if that is even an option now, you can always contact your Account Manager in order to get your case added to the Product Enhancement Request (PER) case.
My 2 cents....

Hi,
We just replaced our voicemail solution with Cisco Unity Connection and our support center is getting numerous calls on this very issue. It was said in this thread that it was "on the roadmap" and that was back in version 9.0. Has this been addressed since that comment? We are on version 11.5.1.
