unity connection smtp notification sender

hi all,

i would like to find if hte following is possible.  as far as my research goes it is not.  let me put it out there anyways.

ucxn 8.6 is being setup for smtp notification.  the sender name on the email is coming with the following information in the email.

email id:unityconnection@hostname.domain.ca

displayname:Cisco Unity Connection Messaging System

i know this is coming from the user name unityconnection.  which cannot be modified or changed. its all grayed out.  customer wants to change it to something with their company name on it. at least the display name.

any ideas?

You can't change it from the Unity side - the message is sent from that account (required to have a sender in Exchange land). You can change the display name for that user (which is created with the server name by default). Just don't delete the account (it'll get recreated on the fly). But you can change the display name to remove the server name from it and the "from" field for messages from outside callers will no longer show the server name.
