Hello Everybody,

I am told that Unity VM only is not compatible with Exchange 2003 and not Exchange 2000. Can anyone confirm this? Is it possible to have Unity 4.0(5) UM with Exchange 2003 and then have a different class of service where certain subscribers get VM only and other users have UM and you can switch users back and forth between the 2 groups?

You can only have either VM only or Unified messaging. You cannot switch between the two. For Unified, you can have exchange 2000 or 2003. For VM only, you can only have exchange 2000.

I guess as long as your are prepared to pay for UM licenses for all users you can create VM only accounts in AD etc & hide these from the GAL to give you effectively VM only users. You'd effectively be doing a UM installation anyways as the Ex2003 svr'd be off-box so the cust may aswell go for UM!
