Can someone please point me towards something that explains what UnityConnection version supersedes what version?
In this case, the client has 8.5.1ES69.14044-69 installed. They need to install some software to integrate with UnityConnection that requires a minimum of 8.5.1ES78. But, that is not one of the options to download from Cisco. There, the options are 8.5(1)SU6 and earlier SUx versions.
Where does the ES branch fit in with the SU branch? Would Software Update 6 include the fixes in Engineering Special 78?
Thanks in advance!

Hi there,
Yes this build would include the fixes from ES78 as shown in the notes from the readme below;

Hi,
[+5] to Rob.
ES are the engineering special versions which are published by TAC for special defects and any updates when u open up the case.They are not available for downloading on Cisco site through CCOid.

Rob, Aman, Thank you.
FWIW, installing 8.5(1) SU 6 results in a working install that reports itself as being version 8.5.1ES125.16900-125. No TAC case, etc. So the "Engineering Special" vs. "Service Update" nomenclature is misleading at best.
I guess Cisco knows this too, given this passage from the README:
Do not refer to version numbers in any of the administration user interfaces because those versions apply to the interfaces themselves, not to the version installed on the active partition.
