In the process of migrating a Unity Connection Cluster to new hardware, I have worked with TAC on this and the process they provided was to the start with the first node and do a DRS restore on the new hardware. After that is completed simply build the subscriber on the new hardware and let replication do its job. I have performed the needed steps on the first node and it is up and haven't started on the second node but I did notice that replication is now down. Should I even worry about that or go ahead and perform the installation on the new hardware and add the node the cluster via the installation?
Thanks,
Joe

Isn’t your servers virtual? I would assume so as it’s many years ago since Cisco stopped using bare metal servers. With virtual servers you can easily move the VM to another ESXi host with vMotion. There is no need to install a new server and do a restore from DRS.

These are standalone ESXi servers, no vCenter deployed. I have accomplished the rebuild and everything looks like it is working without issue.
Thanks,

You can pretty much use the same method with stand alone ESXi servers, it’s just that you need to get the files for the VMs moved over to the new server(s) via an offline method.

Assuming you have a license on the ESXi servers that allows them to talk to Vcenter, you can build a Vcenter with a trial license and use that to do the migration.
