Is there a was to log into the mailbox to see what messages are in there. Will I cause any problems if it do.

Yes, you can log into this mailbox and see the bridge messages that are received. There's a uOmni account you'll want to use.

Will I cause any problems if I change the password on that account. My system passwords don't work.

Should be fine in doing so. Unity doesn't really log in as that account, only controls the mailbox.
