Hi all.
i was reading system guide for cucm 8. It was written
The /usr/local/cm/tftp subdirectory stores these load files as *.bin, .zup, or .sbin files; for example, D501A022.bin. During installation or upgrade, this location stores the latest loads. You must copy new loads that you receive between releases to this location for the system to access them
Is there anyway from CUCM GUI to view the firmware files of phones. (Not from device defaults page)

Hi John,
I'm not sure if this helps or not, but in my mind what we care about
when it comes to phone Firmware is two things. One, what is the Default
Firmware that phones are running, and two, what phones do we have running
that are not using that Default Firmware.
As you nicely noted, the first info is available from the Device Defaults page. The second
piece of info can be gleaned from the Firmware Load Information page (via CUCMadmin);
Device> Device settings> Firmware Load Information
The details will show any anomalies that aren't running the Default Firmware
so that they can be addressed
Cheers!

To add to Rob's tips ( 5), you can view the files on the tftp server by going to the OS Admin Page > Software Upgrades > TFTP File Management.
