hi folks,
new to this Community. Just started using Jabber 12 in the lab environment and plan to push it as a new Global Standard. However feel we are missing the option to select the target CUCM cluster.
We have around 10 global clusters across the globe and 3 SME clusters as well. The option to select the CUCM target is very important for us. Wondering if this capability is in the roadmap.
Thanks.

Hi,
take a look at the following: On-Premise Deployment for Cisco Jabber 12.0 (check the Authentication Arguments).
Hope this helps,

Are you doing Expressway as well?
A GeoDNS-type solution would help you direct Jabber AutoDiscovery requests using the DNS SRV records to the desired clusters. Usually in global setups like that, you'll have local DNS servers as well, so you can use the weight/priority of the records to prioritize the local servers.
Beyond that, you have to choose the "Home Cluster" box for users in CUCM, and you can also set their primary/secondary servers under the UC Service Profiles in CUCM, so even if their initial discovery directs them to Cluster A, the User configuration in UCM can direct them to Cluster B - assuming you have ILS setup between all of your clusters.
