LDAP sync: Unable to use EmployeeNumber attribute as user ID

post

I have successfully been able to sync from MS AD, but the customer wants to use the employeenumber as userid for extension mobility, etc.

I have tried removing my directory sync's, changed the LDAP system integration to used employee number as user id, but i am not getting any users imported.

Any ideas???

Could you post some screenshots of the configuration and upload DirSync logs?

Before get the DirSync logs, make sure the trace level was set to debug and perform a manual full sync.

Thanks!

Michael

Also are you using a GC or DC service for AD?

As I recall, employeeNumber is not present in the Global Catalog by default, so if you are suing port 3268 you might not find it.

You can edit the schema so that it is imported to the GC.

Thanks for your repllies. We decided to use modify the telefonnumber field in AD and use that for user id instead.

To answer your question, Aaron, Employeenumber is a custom field in AD that we tried to populate, with no luck.
