Unity 5.0(1) with off box exchange question

Hello,

I'm running Unity 5.0 with Exchange off box (VM only).   Unity and Exchange are both set to keep deleted messages for 7 days after a user deletes a message.   After a user deletes a message from the TUI, it appears that the message gets permanently deleted from Exchange as I do cannot see the message in the deleted items folder in owa which I assume I should be able to see.   The TUI is not set to offer users the option to retrieve deleted messages but I thought I should be able to see it through owa.   Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere?

I think I found the answer.   There is a checkbox under the subscriber COS in Unity "Deleted messages are copied to the deleted items folder"
