Unity 8.X: resizing partitions/changing folders from drive

Hello, I am finishing the installation of a 8.X Unity platform with Exchange and without failover. (Exchange on the same Unity server)

I have noticed that I installed everything on drive C, and I have plenty of space on drive D.

It is possible that I have problems when mailboxes grow, because I only have 12GB on drive C.

Is there any tested tool or any way to change the size of drive C, so it has more space available.

Another option is to place some of the files on C drive on D drive, but I think this would be more difficult.

Can you advise me what to do?

Thank you very much,

C: 20 GB (12GB free)
D: 200GB (200GB free)

The install guide points out to install Exchange as follows:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity/8x/installation/guide/vmnofo/8xcuigvmnofo060.html#wp1986637

Step 4 On the Component Selection page:

a. Choose to install Microsoft Exchange Messaging and Collaboration Services, and Microsoft Exchange System Management Tools.

b. Change the drive and path where the Exchange 2003 application files will be installed, if applicable. Specify the drive location
you made note of in the "Determining the Locations for Files on the Cisco Unity 8.x Server" section on page 2-5.

The install guide also goes into where to install Unity at:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity/8x/installation/guide/vmnofo/8xcuigvmnofo080.html#wp1762560

Step 7 Specify locations for the Cisco Unity application, trace logs, and Unity Messaging Repository (UMR) files. Use the
locations you made note of in the "Determining the Locations for Files on the Cisco Unity 8.x Server" section on page 2-5.

Here is the step that suggest moving some Databases and Transaction logs:

About the only other thing that may be possible to relocate is the Page from from C to D drive.

However the main recommendation would probably be to look at getting the system reinstalled to get things located on the proper drive.

TAC does see issues when people have installed this way. Generally they do run low on Disk space on C drive eventually. Also resizing of the
partitions is not something TAC would look at as being supported.

Probably not what you were looking for. Sorry.

Thanks,

Scott
