Unity Connection with Office 365

Hello ,

We configure new unified messaging on office 365

it is not working we got errors:

Searching the network , Failed to locate a Domain Controller via DNS.

Searching the network , Failed connected to Exchange CAS server.

my version of CUC 11.5

 

any idea?

Please post screen shots of your UM configuration in Unity.

Did you configure the integration user on Office365 per Cisco instructions to grant appropriate permissions to the mailboxes?

we fix issue,
The problem was in Firewall.

Could you please share what was the problem? what did you have to do to make it work? I have the same issue and nothing is working, I'm suspecting firewall issue but nothing found on the logs for Unity to exchange

For your reference this is the O365 settings that we use on our CUC. The same has been used from version 10.5 to current 12.5.

I hope this helps you to get this working.

One additional thing to check, as this is a fluffy cloud service you need to ensure that the CUC system has access to internet.

I have a similar issue.

Unity Connection cannot resolve outlook.office365.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.html.

I can ping the domain from my network.

TAC told me I have an office 365 issue, another support vendor told me Microsoft changed how Unified Messaging works and I may need additional 365 licenses.

That doesn't sound right.

Searching the network Failed connected to Exchange CAS server at (https://outlook.office365.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml)
Searching the network Failed connected to Exchange CAS server at (https://autodiscover.outlook.office365.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml)
Searching the network Failed connected to Exchange CAS server at (https://autodiscover-s.outlook.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml)
Searching the network Failed connected to Exchange CAS server at (http://autodiscover.outlook.office365.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml)
Searching the network Could not find an Exchange CAS server via Autodiscover DNS SRV record
Searching the network Failed to locate an Exchange CAS server. Connection will not be able to Locate Exchange subscribers.

 

You can validate Office 365 IMAP working by using below link.

Use test email along with UM service account setup in UM profile.

Also this error is very misleading and can simply be due to incorrect password @office 365 end. OR could also be related to Office 365 licensing .... 

 

Hope Cisco can improve the error message in future Unity versions so its not as misleading as is...
