Hi,
I need help. I need to configure FC port-channel between 2x MDS 9148 and 2x Cisco Fabric Interconnects. My main problem here is FC interfaces are not appearing on the Fabric Interconnects (UCS Manager). I only see ethernet ports. Do i need to turn on unified ports or do i need license for FC?
I also connected the ds-sfp-fc8g-sw SFP's but i am getting the error "Operation state failed, reason: SFP Validation failed"
Another thing, all 48 FC ports on the MDS 9148 switches acquire license. Aren't they supposed to come with 16 ports activated by default?
Any Ideas?

Hi Selby
FI 6248 has unified ports, by default, all are Ethernet; therefore as a first step, you have to configure FC ports.
You need just Ethernet port licenses, which are also universal.
see eg.

For the MDS 9148 licensing have a look at
There are bundles with
Cisco MDS 9148 48-Port Multilayer Fabric Switch with 16, 32 or 48 8-Gbps active ports
Good luck
